In Frankly Friday

  • The need to be liked
  • The belief that something bad is about to happen
  • The expectation for everything to be perfect and ideal
  • The determination of being “right”
  • The anger of being hurt by someone else

These are just a few of the things that will kill you if you let them.

Or at least they will kill the best version of you; the “real” you.

The “you” that God has created and wants for your life.

Or, you can let them go.

You can trust that good things are about to happen, if you don’t get in the way.

You can trust that when they don’t happen, you will learn, communicate, and get better.

You can trust that short of someone dying, what you’re worried about probably isn’t going to matter in a month from now.

You can believe and choose a better life:

  • One filled with peace
  • One filled with confidence
  • One filled with wisdom and discernment
  • One filled with acceptance that doesn’t depend on being “perfect”
  • One that will get you to the life you actually want

But you are for sure going to have to let it go, my friend.

Confession: This is a letter I wrote to myself this week.

It’s so silly, because I know all of this stuff.

You do too

But happens so fast that we forget.

The best news of all is that it is our choice to remember, reset, and re-adjust.

That’s what I’m doing.

How about you?

Cheers,

BW
