Do you want to be happy?

Do you want to live a life of excitement, impact, and security?

Do you want to win the game of life?

You’re going to need a good teammate, my friend.

Good teammates:

  • Share a vision for winning
  • Build each other up when they break down
  • Collaborate to solve the problems

Poor teammates:

  • Have their own vision for winning
  • Blame others when they break down
  • Develop their own solutions to problems

When husbands and wives understand this, they make the strongest teams of all humankind.

And husbands and wives that understand this, know that there is no such thing as “winning,” in an argument.

To “win” against your teammate means that you both lose.

To make your teammate a loser means that you are a loser.

You don’t want to do life with a loser, do you?

Next time you have a disagreement, try this instead:

  • What do we want to be true about our life, impact, finances, and relationships 1, 10, and 20 years from now?
  • How does “winning” this argument affect those outcomes? (Or does it even matter?)
  • Where is her tank empty right now? Have you prioritized helping her fill it?
  • Where is your tank empty? Have you looked to God to help you fill it?
  • What does love require us to do for each other?

We are only better when WE are better.

Never forget that she is your companion, not your competitor.

Cheers to all of the wonderful things you are making happen (together).
