The Maintaining Myth

The muscles in your body right now are in one of two modes:

1. Growing
2. Shrinking

Scientifically there is no “in between.”

Without muscle straining, there is no gaining and there is no maintaining.

The same is also true for:

• Your marriage
• Your friendships
• Your skills
• Your spiritual health
• Your investments and wealth
• Your business and marketing
• Your character

If you’re not going forward, you’re going backwards.

So what’s it going to be?

Are you weary about the things that aren’t as rosy as they were 12 months ago?

Are you fretting about the turbulent forecast ahead?

The strain is the only way to the gain, my friend.

Embrace it.

Love it for what it is.

Because….

The average person will go sit down for a while and wait for this to pass.

They will come back to the game weaker than they left it.

And they’ll come back wondering how in the hell you got so far ahead during “tough times.”

Because you’re not average and you knew the choice was simple:

Growing or shrinking.
