“Well, it was good while it lasted.”
“I feel like I’m going backwards.”
“I thought I had it figured out, but I guess I was wrong.”
These are the verses of struggle.
I’ve heard them being sung a lot lately.
Have you?
Do you know someone who has found themself in a rut?
The most powerful thing you can do for them in this moment is to help them build up a mountain of truth.
Here is a script you can use, and it will work like magic:
“My friend, Doubt is almost always fake news for your brain.
And the thing is, your brain doesn’t know the difference in fake news and real news, unless you force it to see the difference.
If not managed, doubt creates a false belief, which creates false thoughts and feelings, which lead to the wrong actions, which lead to poor results.
That sounds bad. But it gets even worse.
The poor results you get from false beliefs, then fuel more false beliefs.
The cycle repeats, and that’s when a person feels like they can’t do anything right.
I think this might have something to do with the rut you’re in
Truth, on the other hand, creates true thoughts and feelings, which lead to better actions, which lead to better results.
And better results lead to better beliefs. That cycle will also repeat as soon as you set it in motion.
Truth is the evidence that you are not doomed, and in fact, you have everything you need to take the next step.
From experience, I can tell you with confidence:
When you start your day with truth, and you go looking for the evidence that you have everything you need, miraculous things happen.
And after a troubling event, going back to the truth always pulls you to the next best decision.
It goes like this:
1. What is true right now?
You are not alone.
2. What else is true?
You have solved problems much bigger than this.
3. And what else is true?
You have tools, people, and Google to help you.
4. What else?
What you have tried so far didn’t work, but you are not even close to being out of chances.
5. Anything else?
Tons of people believe in you. God believes in you. You live in America. You are never done until you decide you’re done.
The evidence is overwhelming my friend.
All you have to do is spend a few minutes looking at it.
What are you waiting for?”
Cheers,
BW
