Hold on Loosely
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1590076267975{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Legs clenching the seat. Eyes rapidly moving. I was squeezing the controls with fierce determination to control this million-dollar machine. I was failing.
Swaying back and forth, bobbing up and down, my instructor looked over at me and said,
“Hold on loosely man.”
And with those words, he unlocked the secret to hovering a helicopter.
You can’t over-control it.
You have to become one with it.
I’ve found that this little metaphor from my flight training directly applies to just about everything.
Business growth
Sales
Relationships of any kind
Musicianship
Singing
Driving
Coaching
Copywriting
Cooking
Parenthood
When you clinch the control with too much fear, you lose it altogether.
Have you found yourself in the middle of a wobble?
Are you needing to find a new breakthrough?
Consider following the wisdom of my instructor, (and of course, 38 Special):
Hold on loosely
But don’t let it go
If you cling too tightly
You’re gonna lose control
Cheers,
